Select Database / Lawlinks Library Catalogue: Basic Search Search for books, journals, law reports and tables of contents from any field including subject, author, title, and journal/law report title. Catalogue (Advanced Search) Search for books, journals, law reports and tables of contents from any field or any combination of fields by subject, author, title and journal/law report title. Use the options to filter by language, jurisdiction and date. Catalogue Search Search the Catalogue for books, tables of contents, journals, law reports and law journals by any combination of subject, author, title and jurisdiction. Select field to search from the search menu (any field, title, author, subject, journal/law report). Enter search words, terms or phrase and Click Search To combine searches between fields select (AND, OR, NOT) from the drop down lists. Within a single field you do not need to type AND. You must type OR, NOT Catalogue Search results Click on "Details" to view specific record: Item Information displays: Brief details and location of material on the Library shelves Catalogue Record displays: Full details (including the tables of contents – if present) and related links Click on highlighted term to find other items on the same subject Mark Items to Print, Save or Email Results: Click Mark to select the items to e-mail, print or save. (the button changes to Unmark. Click Unmark if you wish to remove item from selected list) Click Marked to preview the list of items In the Sort By box, choose to sort by author, title, or call number Choose the Brief or Full View of Records Click on Print Formatted to Open or Save the Results to your PC Specify a single e-mail address to e-mail the results N.B. Click on Remove all titles to clear selected references (Selected references will be saved even when you proceed with a new search) top 4. Enter words, terms or phrase and click Search You may combine searches across more than one field by selecting (AND, OR, NOT) buttons on the drop down lists). Within a single field AND is implied. You must type the words OR, NOT. Click on Details on the Search Results List to view a specific judgment. Item Information Displays brief details and links to documents. Catalogue Record displays citations, synopses, case history and links to the full text documents 5. Downloading Judgments / Case papers Judgments: “A Look Inside” lists available links to the case you have selected. Click on Full Judgment or Summary of Judgment from the list. The selected link displays as a BOLD hyperlink To download the Full Judgment: Left Click Full Judgment To Save the file: Right Click on the selected document to “Save target As” and download the PDF file to your local workstation NOTE: Close the window to access other documents from the same case. Case Papers: “A Look Inside” lists links to Heads of Argument or Pleadings & Documents. Click on Heads of Argument and Pleadings & Documents to display the list of available case papers Click on the document that you wish to view The selected document displays as a BOLD Hyperlink To download the document: Left Click on the selected document To Save the file: Right Click on the selected document to “Save target As” and download the PDF file to your local workstation.
